How moderation works behind the scenes

When someone reports a chat, TrueMegle creates a moderation case. Repeated or serious violations can result in temporary restrictions or permanent bans.

If a report includes enough evidence of serious harm, the system can also escalate to a network-level ban so the restriction is harder to bypass with a new session.

What safety is not on TrueMegle

TrueMegle does not promise perfect safety. No open chat product can. People are unpredictable, and real-time chat cannot be pre-screened the way uploaded files can be.

What TrueMegle does promise is that there are rules, tools, and consequences. That makes the experience meaningfully safer than an unmoderated chat room.

TrueMegle is for adults only. Nudity, sexual content, harassment, hate speech, spam, and recording other users are against the rules.

These rules exist to keep the chat usable for everyone, not to create a heavily restricted environment.
