Short version: TrueMegle is designed around disposable sessions and peer-to-peer media. Conversations are not stored or recorded by the service.

What we do with your data

TrueMegle uses minimal session data to make the chat work. There are no public profiles, no social logins, and no permanent account identity required to use the chat rooms.

Camera and microphone

When you use video chat, your browser streams media peer-to-peer using WebRTC. Where a direct peer-to-peer connection is not possible, media is relayed through our TURN relay server to complete the connection. In both cases the audio/video is not stored, recorded, or inspected by the service — it is transmitted between the two participants and discarded at the end of the call.

No cookies for tracking

The only preference stored on this device is your light/dark theme choice, in browser storage. It is never sent to any server.

Advertising

TrueMegle may show ads from third-party advertising partners (such as Google AdSense) on its marketing and content pages. We never show ads inside the video or text chat rooms, or in the admin area.

Personalized advertising requires your explicit consent. Without that consent we will not load advertising scripts, and no ad will be shown to you. Consent is stored locally on this device only and can be withdrawn at any time by clearing your browser storage.
